I always draw my images just for fun, and I never sure about final result. Whole image was created by hands without any GUI tools. My main instruments are brain and vim :).
During my experiments I have notice that twisted sequence of the toruses looks like strange fantasy house or shack. So, I began from the house...
Next, I made a terrain, using a heightfield. Basic height filed image were drawn using The GIMP, and then it were merged with noise, generated by hflab. I made abrupt shore using isosurface to make it more relief. Water surface was made as isosurface.
Originally, I decided to make tries on the background plane. I try to use the tomtree macro, but it rendering time was terrible. So, I decline this idea and place giant grass leaflets instead tries. Original grass macro by Gilles Tran was modified by me to use mesh2 for proper UV mapping.
To make image more interesting, I place a small grass on a terrain using the Compressed mesh macro by Chris Colefax. Compressed mesh was generaited with special povray script.
To demonstrate small size of the house, I add three giant toadstools and huge glass bottle with the POVRAY logo on the label. Toadstools were made using combination of isosurfaces. Bottle is a simple Surface Of Rotation.
How to build the image:
To build image under the Unix simple type:
#make release
and you'll get release.png and release.log files in the current directory.
To build under MS Windows, load the file domik.ini in the Povray for Windows 3.6 and render it!
Have a fun folks, and forgive me for the pure english!!!
P.S. Keep the nature natural!!!
